Bohemian with a Purpose: How Gretchen Hollingsworth Built Ink + Alloy to Empower Women

After selling her successful candle company, Paddywax, and spending two decades in the gift industry, Gretchen Hollingsworth sought a more meaningful creative path. A soul-stirring trip to India ignited the spark for something new—and Ink + Alloy was born. It’s a modern accessory brand with a bohemian style. Gretchen says,  “My brand is on a mission to empower women through ethically crafted pieces.”

Rooted in style with purpose, the brand blends vibrant design with deep social impact. Ink + Alloy partners with women artisans in India and a dedicated studio in Atlanta to produce handcrafted accessories made from colorful glass seed beads, upcycled brass, and other ethically sourced materials. Every piece tells a story—of connection, culture, and craftsmanship.

“Ink + Alloy isn’t just about beautiful jewelry—it’s about building a better world for women.”   A portion of all proceeds supports nonprofits like Commit 2 Change, which provides education and opportunity for girls in India.

With its signature modern bohemian aesthetic, Ink + Alloy creates accessories that celebrate individuality, creativity, and global sisterhood. “Whether you’re layering bracelets or making a statement with bold earrings, you’re wearing more than just an accessory—you’re wearing intention. It’s where style meets soul.”
