How did she go from being a performer on Broadway to offering her own personal training method? Nicole Winhoffer took her lifelong love of dancing to Broadway when she was just 17 in plays like Bombay Dreams and Wicked but after years in musicals, she decided it was time to define her own vision. This began a quest for “Mind, Body, and Soul Alignment” using dance, music, and Eastern Practices.
“I’ve always had a focus on women and defining how their emotional energy affects their chakra and frequency.” Nicole is constantly exploring and learning new modalities like the Alexander Technique, Lucid Body, Reiki and Feldenkrais. (Not sure what those are but Nicole’s energy is amazing! I felt so revved up and energized after taking her class.)
In 2019, Nicole was featured as one of the top celebrity trainers. In the workouts, she focuses on core training, Pilates-based moves, and a can-do attitude. “Believe you can, and you will. In order to change our body and our life, we have to recalibrate our thoughts.”
In Los Angeles, Nicole trained celebrities like Tracee Ellis Ross, Ellen Pompeo, and Kate Hudson. Kate credits Nicole with helping her lose weight and gain strength after baby number three, “Getting’ stronger….! @nicolewinhoffer kicking my ????” Kate Hudson captioned one clip. In it, Kate can be seen doing ‘the serpent’ – aka, a tricky variation of a push-up that’s epic for fat burning that Nicole created.
This exclusive training system is called the NW Method. Nicole became a global ambassador for Adidas by Stella after training Stella McCarthy in London and helped build a program for Madonna’s fitness brand Hard Candy Fitness. The NW Method founder considers herself a “fitness artist,” someone who focuses not only on transforming her clients’ bodies but doing so in a way that inspires inner expression.
Nicole believes in using art, dance, and exercise to achieve the perfect alignment of your mind and body. Love this advice, “Pick three of your favorite songs, play them really loud, and move your body as expressively as you can by yourself to connect the brain to your heart and body.”
