Life-Changing Question: What brought you the greatest joy last year?

It’s still January, so let’s keep the yearly questions coming.

When you look back at last year, what brought you the greatest joy?

Not the things you thought should make you happy—but the moments that truly lifted you.
Was it unstructured time with family or friends? Getting lost in a project that energized you? A quiet routine that grounded you? Or the deep satisfaction of accomplishing something you once doubted you could do?

Joy often shows up in patterns. When you pause and name what genuinely filled you up last year, you begin to see clues—about what you need more of, what deserves protecting, and what might shape the year ahead.

Take a moment to name those things and then ask yourself:
How can I intentionally create more space for these this year?

Because joy isn’t accidental—it’s something we can notice and choose again.

My time at Thanksgiving with family at our farm was really dreamy for me. Another thing that gave me peace was yoga at the Mather Homestead barn.
